It has always been my goal to help you leave depression behind and help you find your inner child. In doing so, you have helped me find my wings again. 
This story is about giving a voice back to the people and animals who were here first: the great stewards who treated the Earth properly. Your heart IS good. You WERE SUPPOSED to be happy. This WAS and still IS the intention for you. Not everyone is the same and we CAN and we WILL fly above the media's portrayal of perfection.
I hope I represent the 'spirit of play' properly with all the big things coming up with the 'Idiot Savant' story. What Ian went through, many of us are still going through. Please remember, MUSIC HEALS!

Here are some very touching excerpts from a letter I received this morning...

Hi Karen,
I just wanted to congratulate you on the release of Idiot Savant...it sounds amazing! But even more importantly the message of this record is so desperately important and needed to be heard by everyone. Unfortunately the message of Idiot Savant hits very close to home as I have a son very much like Ian. ...we were starting to notice differences in Avery and it was shortly after that he was diagnosed with High functioning Autism with a "Learning disability" which includes short term memory and processing issues...Long story short Avery was soon recognized by his school teachers and peers as "different" and sadly treated that way. Fast forward to last year and Avery was bullied at school not only by his peers but by his teachers, EA's and Principal who sadly, completely and continually misunderstood him. I addressed these issues directly with them all and empty apologies were issued to Angela and I but never publicly to Avery in front of his classmates where he was so often humiliated.


Sadly this September, Avery came home from school at lunch, collapsed on the couch and never got up…he couldn't walk or feel his legs and he was shaking uncontrollably. After a 2 week stay at the children’s hospital and 100’s of tests that came up negative our team of almost 15 doctors told us that he had a very rare condition called Conversation Disorder. Conversion Disorder (or in the 30’s was called Hysteria) is a neurological disorder based on how the body handles stress, anxiety and emotion…which presents itself as neurological dysfunction in the body. So Avery left the hospital in a wheel chair unable to walk and was seizuring every 1 to 5 minutes…with episodes of severe memory loss afterwards…he would have episodes of manic screaming, choking and turning blue not able to take a breath in or out…and was unable to attend school. 


These symptoms lasted to just before Christmas…this is when Avery discovered an overwhelming passion for 80’s rock and metal music. For Christmas all he wanted was the classic 80’s rock and metal albums like Motley Crue, Ozzy, Iron Maiden, ACDC etc…by the new year Avery was walking with a cane and his seizures had dissipated to only when he felt anxious or stressed out. Avery was and is a child who is afraid to try anything new because of obvious reasons but with his new passion for rock music wanted to start taking drum lessons. 


So how is this relevant to you…well on the weekend Avery and I discovered the Juggernaut video and ever since he plays it on a loop multiple times a day singing and playing air guitar with his cane…Karen the joy in his eyes when he’s playing your song and singing and dancing is absolutely priceless and infectious…my 4 year old daughter Olivia is also now singing and dancing to Juggernaut! I just wanted to say that your message of Ian in the 30’s is still sadly current and relevant today with these young gifted and extremely misunderstood children. Avery writes (channels) symbols very much like what you would see on ancient indigenous cave walls like the Hopi…all his symbols are unique and different and I, along with my Shaman colleagues feel they are from the Star Nation. I would love to share his book of symbols with you sometime…they are breath taking, inspirational and very highly vibrational.
Thank-you for creating a very, very, relevant and earth changing movement…that reflects on everyone’s inner Idiot Savant and whether or not we are going to continue in the cycle of discretion of this child genius in all of us or begin to embrace, love , honor, and openly celebrate it! I pray the latter with all my heart!
