I don't admire J.K. Rowling's success as much as I admire her ability to have that intense level of relationship with make-believe characters for decades!
I saw an army of worms on the road today because it was raining. (Spellcheck corrected that to say 'RV' instead of 'army' and my mind wandered off thinking about a 70's style RV transporting a bunch of worms to an undisclosed location)
I tend to move snails off the walking trails (see what I did right there?) because I don't want them squished. This morning for some reason, I felt kind of happy for these worms because it seemed like they planned a big outing.
My childhood imagination likes to explore the idea that they were thinking "outside the earth". The truth is they instinctively wander to the place they need to go and they probably don't give it more thought than that.

When we move through life, why do we overthink it so much? Do you remember the phrase, "if it feels good, do it"? While we don't want to do something that is negatively consequential to others, we really do overthink everything... at least when it comes to worry.
In the world of imagination, and/or fantasy/dream sequences, we are not inhibited by consequence. I really could transport an RV full of worms to the local disco for the night.
If you have watched any interviews with J.K. Rowling, she did a lot of writing before and after her mother passed away. I can definitely relate because I did the same thing with my mother.
Our world seems really dismal and super negative but if you think about it, a woman within her own imagination not only became a billionaire but inspired millions of children to use their imagination.
She did it with pen to paper. She was rejected by a dozen publishers. She experienced overwhelming sadness throughout the process.

Why is that any different than you or me?
Many of you suffer great depression. I definitely use writing, art and music to combat that beast. I want to remind you that you have a choice between dying in the reality of your situation or creating a whole new world through the power of your imagination.
It is super important that you seek out the friends and mentors who will bring that inspiration and steer clear of anything or anyone who keeps your mind in bondage. If you are not allowed to think freely, leave the cult!
The Internet is like the world. It has beauty and garbage. You are a click away from making better choices...the kinds of choices that feed your spirit and inspire you!
Make your own reality!
ROCK ON!

PS... try not to care what anyone thinks about your "happy place". Opinion can KILL creativity if you let it!
