Someone in my family calls it her 'piss meter'. You know when the mercury that was common in your childhood thermometer would blow up to the point of making you delusional from the heat?
For some, thermal expansions can get to a scary thousand degrees.
I saw an Anger Thermometer online that said,
"Calm, Annoyed, Angry."
Some of the various tipping points on other Thermometers said things like,
"Furious, Exploding, Flipping Out, Enraged, Hysterical, Out Of Control."
Have a look at this one;
Isn't it interesting how uncertainty and aggravation sit on the same level?
Apprehension and being upset are parallel...
Anger and fear are synonymous.
So if we want to nip this at the onset, I would think the word "unsure" is where we need to start.
When we are unsure of something, it isn't going to end well unless we can come to an understanding.
I think part of the problem is we are too tired to apply PATIENCE anymore in order to understand. We quickly become aggravated instead of admitting uncertainty.
So does it start with getting some sleep?
Or is anger just easier than hurt?
Wax on, wax off...
